- G-6-인산 포도당 탈수소효소(Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase)는 일종의 효소이고, 약자로 G6PD라고도 한다.
- G6PD은 간장 포도당 대사 효소이다.
- G-6PD 결핍이 생기면 적혈구가 용혈되고 용혈성 빈혈이 생긴다.
- 그래서 간접형 빌리루빈이 증가되어 간접형 과빌리루빈 황달이 생긴다.
- 이 병은 신생아의황달의 원인이 될 수 있고 소아들의 용혈성 빈혈의 원인도 될 수 있다.
- 이병은 일종의 유전병이다.
- 거의 모든 인종들에게도 생길 수 있으나 특히 동양 사람, 그리스인 등 지중해지역 사람들, 또는 흑인들에게 더 잘 생길 수 있다.
- 신생아들, 영유아들, 학령기 아이들과 사춘기 아이들 및 성인들, 모든 연령층에 속하는 사람들에게 생길 수 있다.
- G6PD 결핍이 신생아에게 생기면 적혈구가 용혈 되고 그로 인해 용혈성 빈혈, 황달이 생길 수 있고 심하면 핵황달이 생길 수 있다.
- G6PD 결핍이 있다고 해서 G6PD 결핍증이 꼭 생기는 것은 아니다.
- 바이러스 감염병이나 약물섭취 또는 그 외 다른 인자로 등으로 유발되어 G6PD 결핍증이 생길 수 있다.
- 신생아에게 황달이 생기면 G6PD 결핍성 황달, 신생아 생리적 황달, 다른 종류의 병적 황달 등을 감별 진단해야 한다.
- G6PD 결핍을 유발 시키는 인자를 제거 하고 대증치료를 한다.
