이미증 Pica – 제13권. 소아청소년 혈액, 림프, 종양 질환

이미증의 원인

모래 흙 털 닭똥 재 벽 페인트 등 영양 가치가 조금도 없고 건강에 해가 되는 것을 먹는 버릇을 이미증이라고 한다.
이미증은 정서면에서 불안정하고 욕구불만이 가득 찬 아이들에게 더 잘 생긴다.
이미증이 정신 박약아나 성인에게도 생길 수 있다.

이미증의 증상 징후

◯ 내에 이미증으로 먹은 희고 작은 페인트 조각들이 많이 보인다.

사진 2-12. 납 중독에 걸리면 CBC 피 검사에 염기성 반점(a)이 적혈구 내 나타 날 수 있고 철분 부족으로 생기는 빈혈에서 볼 수 있는 적혈구 모양과 같은 적혈구가 생기고 적혈구가 작고 혈색소농도가 낮다.

이미증은 주로 3세 전 유아들에게 더 잘 생긴다.
이미증이 있는 유아들은 흙이나 모래 등 손에 닥치는 대로 거의 무엇이든지 먹는 것이 보통이다.

이미증의 진단

병력, 증상 징후와 진찰소견 등을 종합해 진단한다.
이미증이 있는 아이는 납 중독에도 걸릴 수 있다.
이미증이 있으면 혈중 납 농도 검사를 꼭 한다. 그리고 이미증이 있는 아이들은 흙이나 모래 같은 것을 먹을 수 있기 때문에 기생충에 감염될 수 있다. 그래서 대변 기생충 검사를 한다.

이미증의 치료

이미증이 있는 아이들을 보다 더 많은 사랑해줄 필요가 있다. 그리고 모유나 인공영양, 또는 균형 잡힌 음식물을 충분히 주어 이미증을 예방 치료한다. [부모도 반의사가 되어야 한다-소아가정간호백과]-제 13권 소아청소년 혈액, 림프, 종양질환-빈혈 참조
