카사바하-메리트 증후군, Kasabach-Merritt syndrome

  • 카사바하-메리트 증후군은 태어나서부터 생후 3개월 이전에 생기는 것이 보통이다. 
  • 혈관종이 갑자기 커지면서 빈혈, 혈소판 감소, 혈액응고 장애가 생길 수 있다. 
  • 이때 혈관종은 피하 깊숙이 뻗어나 있을 수 있다. 
  • 짙은 적청색을 띄고 상당히 단단한 감을 준다. 
  • 출혈, 호흡곤란, 감염, 악성종양 등의 합병증이 생길 수 있다. 

카사바하-메리트 증후군의 진단 치료 

  • 병력, 증상 징후, 검진, CBC 피 검사로 진단한다. 
  • 신선한 전혈 수혈, 전신 코티코스테로이드제 치료. 
  • 가능한 혈관종 절제수술로 치료한다. 
  • 필요에 따라 방사선 치료도 한다. 

Kasabach-Merritt syndrome

• Cassavaja-Merritt syndrome usually occurs from birth to 3 months of age.

‘• Sudden enlargement of hemangiomas can lead to anemia, thrombocytopenia, and blood clotting disorders.

• In this case, the hemangioma may extend deep under the skin.

• It has a deep red-blue color and gives a fairly firm feel.

• Complications such as bleeding, shortness of breath, infection, and malignancy may occur.

Diagnosis and treatment of Casabaja-Merritt syndrome

• Diagnosis by medical history, symptomatic signs, examination, and CBC blood tests.

• Fresh whole blood transfusion, systemic corticosteroid treatment.

• Treat with resection of the hemangioma if possible.

• Radiation therapy as needed.
